Another steal from Jody's blog...this thing is getting exciting!!!!!

I’ve been told this week.

“One of my Mom’s friends had the phone to her ear to schedule a massage appointment. She hung up and decided to save the money for Water.”

“My sister and her kids set up a Water For Christmas table in their restaurant. In the first 30 minutes, they had $60.”

“My husband’s Dad was inspired by Water For Christmas and is going to set something up in his shop. He is going to put up one of those big water bottles and collect money in it along with having cards and hand outs available for customers.”

A college student who I do not know and have no connection to other than the blog–stepped up to take ownership of the T-shirts. There is no compensation. Nothing in it for her personally. I can’t even tell her “thank you” in person…for now. And she’s done the most amazing job!. Just wait. So much work!! She is also working on getting Penny Wars set up in the dorms and WFC tables around campus.

Our table at the Redstone Room brought in $389 and lots of connections. People who took material and are moving it into their spheres of influence. Amazing people. Taking it on themselves to spread the word and make sure everyone hears about Water this Christmas. Read Amy’s blog about one of the people we met.

One of Tesi’s family members is dancing for water over at her blog. She danced down the streets of Chicago handing out flyers about WFC. She ran into a woman from Liberia who danced…and cried…with her as they dreamed about clean water for her homeland.

A blog reader in New Zealand has started a Water For Christmas Facebook group. This morning there were 150 members. She is also talking to local and home churches about joining the WFC effort.

Countless families indicating they are adopting WFC into their celebration…giving up some of the gift exchange in order to buy water instead.
