Dayz Bay
July 18th- We found another cozy little bay that we can take visitors to when they come to Wellington. Dayz Bay is about 15-20 minutes from our house and you can arrive there by car or by taking the Dominion Post Ferry from the Wellington Harbour. Even though it is winter here, we bundled the boys up in their coats and let them play in the rocks and the sand. Hudson preferred perfecting his walking by going up and down the foot path in front of the beach. He was sooo upset when we finally decided to leave...he is not particularly fond of being taken away from something that he enjoys doing. Poor little lamb. :)

Darkness Filleth our Souls
July 14th- Our teammate Nate left NZ to head back to the States to get married. We will definitely miss Nate as he was a gentle, kind, and friendly soul--the kind of person that brings peace when you are around them. The last picture in this post is a picture of Adam and Nate. God used Nate in Adam's life to bring him into a personal relationship with Christ, which was such a blessing for both of them and their friendship.
Walking
Hudson is getting very efficient with his walking. In just a few weeks he has really become quite comfortable with his newest skill. For about a week he prefered trotting around with something in one of his hands...first it was a spatula, then spoons, and lastly a book. I get such a kick out of watching him toddle around the house, and I am also enjoying doing less laundry as he is not dragging his little knees over gravel, through mud, or on the floor anymore. Yeah!

Winter Conference
Hudson officially started walking on June 28th, a few days before we left for our Winter Conference with Student Life. We have some great videos of Hudson progressing from crawling to walking that we really want to post, but google did away with their video uploading program and we have not had the opportunity yet to figure out what program we should use now to upload our videos. We will definitely get them posted as soon as we can...we know that the family would love to see Hudson's BIG DAY!
Winter Conference took place June 1st through June 9th. We packed in the car and drove to Lake Taupo where we stayed for a night just to make the trip a little bit more bearable with the kids. They had a great time running throughout the hotel room, jumping on the couch and beds, and taking a bath in the large hotel bathroom. Bath time was very relaxing and un-eventful until Hudson decided to drop one of his kids off at the pool...and then bath time ended. :) He was so oblivious to the fact that he had actually pooped in the bath tub. Isaac was well aware of it though.
Conference was awesome for all of us! My campus director from Miami Of Ohio, Roger Hershey or "Hersh", was the main speaker. It was great to hear from him---God used him to encourage all of us so much. He really is an amazing man of God and it felt like God blessed me with a little piece of home by having him there. I have posted a picture of Josh and I with Roger on the last day of conference. There is so much more that I could say, but I will leave it at that. Enjoy the only pics that I took from conference...

Crawling with an attitude
June 18th- Hudson is sooooo close to walking full-time, but he is still crawling more than walking. It appears to be the quickest mode of transportation for him right now, so he resorts to it when he needs to get from A to B fast! As you can see from this picture, Hudson's head is tilted...he has been crawling and tilting his head from one side to the other, almost as if he is the coolest crawler around...he totally crawls with an attitude!
Nate and John
June 17th- We enjoyed having two of the guys from our team (Nate and John) over for dinner on this night. The boys love being around the guys on our team...there is definitely a special connection they have with the men in their lives. John (he has blond hair) watches the boys from time to time and they get sooooo excited whenever he comes over the play!
Choo Choo Train
June 15th- Hudson stops what he is doing, pauses, and emphatically points his little finger (just like Isaac did at this age)every time he hears the train roar by our house. It's pretty cool that we live right by the train station so that our kids can enjoy watching the trains go by every day.
Our Big Eater
June 11th- Thankfully Hudson is a relatively good eater; sometimes he even manages to eat Isaac under the table! He really enjoys feeding himself, as you can see from the pictures. He is keen to eat pretty much anything just as long as it entails him maneuvering the utensils.
