Friday mornings Isaac and I hang out and do arts and crafts together. Isaac recieved some money for his birthday so we bought him a cool "Bob the Builder" paint smock, a drop cloth, a chubby paint brush for kids, and some water colors. He has already made us a few masterpeices. I want to get a few clip boards to put on the wall so that I can hang up his pictures and creations each week. As you can see Isaac has some room to grow into his paint smock. :)

What do the little piggies say?
This video of Isaac eating cake makes me laugh, especially when he makes grunting mmmmm...mmmmm...noises. I am sure that you will be able to tell when the icing is gone from his cake. :)
Isaac's Team Celebration
Isaac had three birthday celebrations this year. One with his friends, one with mommy and daddy, and one with our team. Here are the pictures from his team birthday celebration that he shared with Sarah as it was her special day as well. The girl's on the team were going to make Isaac a Tigger cake, but they couldn't seem to get the colors to mix right, so they made him a Pooh cake instead. Isn't that the sweetest thing? Isaac loved his cake and the two train books that the team bought him for his birthday, but most of all, he enjoyed having LOTS of friends around to celebrate with! I wish you could have seen his face when the team sang Happy Birthday to him...he was so excited! I have never actually seen the look he made...it was a mixture of joy, excitement, and amazement that everyone was singing to him. Thanks team for loving our son so well. He loves you guys! Oh, and thanks Lori (Lacey's mom) for feeding Hudson. I am so glad that we got a chance to meet you. Hope your trip home went well for you and that you didn't experience too much jet lag. :)

Isaac's Second Birthday
Isaac had some of his little friends over for a celebration on his real birthday. I made him a chocolate birthday cake, but I cooked it in individual ice cream cones so that the kids would have something to hold on to. They all had a great time playing together, sliding down the slide, eating cake, and blowing bubbles. Unfortunately, half of his friends were sick and could not make it to the celebration, but we still had a great time. Happy Birthday Isaac! We love you!

Hudson is Four Months Old!
Can you believe it? Hudson is already four months old. Man, how time flies! At his 3 month check-up Hudson weighed in at a whopping 14.74 Lbs., so he is definitely a healthy/growing baby boy. He is actually a little beef cake with his double chin and his chubby legs. I mentioned that he is laughing and smiling, but he is also talking quite a bit and blowing bubbles. He likes to stop in the middle of his meals to take a breather and chat with me. I love it! He makes me smile all the time. Thanks to all of you that gave Hudson little outfits with the matching bibs...he wears the bibs most days to catch all of his talking drool.

Yeah for the Sunshine!
Today has been the most beautiful day! I thought it was winter here in Wellington, but one would never know that by how sunny and gorgeous the weather was today. We did not have to run any heaters in our house today, or at night...woohoo! To make the most of the day Isaac and I went for a little hike in our back yard. The deck to our house looks over Trelessick park. It is a great park chalked full of hiking paths, bridges, streams, etc. We hiked, picked up rocks and sticks, and threw stones into the river. It was a great day. Isaac also said his first complete sentence today. He said, "I splashed mommmy down by the river". Pretty cool. Hudson is chillin' next to me as I type this post. I am going to write more about him in another special post, but he is talking quite a bit...and still sucking on his hands most of the time. :)

Bic-E
I always seem to be a little bit behind in the blogging world. Life of a mom I guess...it is hard for me to find time to blog. Anyways, I can't believe I forgot to post this funny video of Isaac. It is actually from a few months ago when he still had his cast on, but figured it was too cute to pass up. It is amazing to see how much he has grown in just a few short months and how much his language skills have progressed. Pretty cool. Something to note from this video...Isaac loves his blankets, which he calls his, "Bic-E's". He has four of the same blanket, which we thought would help keep him from getting attached to any one of them, but in reality now he just likes all four of them. Great. Gotta love those Bic-E's. He also likes to sit in his cot at night and smooth out his Bic-E in his fingers as you will see in the last part of the video. Enjoy!
Sorbet!!!
Isaac loves Sorbet and Peaches for dessert. The other night we asked him which one he would prefer for dessert and he shouted at the top of his lungs, "Sorbet!!!!" It was so funny. He proceeded to say Sorbet in many different dramatic and silly ways...way too many pics to post, but here are a few from his night of Sorbet shouting. :)

Hudson is laughing!
Hudson just started laughing a few days ago. We have enjoyed making funny faces, singing, etc. to him to see what gets him to laugh the hardest. Today I was singing the theme song from Scooby Doo and he seemed to enjoy a few lines from it. He seems to be smiling more and more every day. He really is a smiley/happy baby.
Pajama Hat
We had the team over the other night for dinner. Isaac was very excited to have guests as he is quite the social Otter. He danced, played and entertained us the entire night. Towards the end of the night we played a game and Isaac quickly became engrossed in punching little holes with his pen into a peice of paper. As you can see, I was also trying to get him to put on his pajamas, but instead they wound up on his head. He loved his new hat as it gave him even more attention. :)
One Million Dollars
Here is what Hudson looks like most of the time. Yes, he has discovered his hands and fingers and he loves munching on them. Did you notice that Hudson has his little pinky finger sticking out? Something unique about Hudson is that he sticks his little pinky out while he is eating. He reminds me of Dr. Evil in Austin Powers when he says, "One Million Dollars" and presses his pinky up to the side of his mouth. Ohhhh Hudson, you crack me up! When Hudson was only a week old he use to stick his legs out straight as a board and grip his hand to his head while he was eating. Alomst as if to say, "This is the best meal ever!" I use to feed his brother Isaac on our couch when we lived in Boulder and he use to bounce his legs off the back of the couch while he was eating...he was just like Tigger even when he was a few months old. Amazing!
Winter is upon us
Josh and I are experiencing our first winter after four summer seasons in a row. I kinda wish we were headed back to the states again like last year so that we could miss winter wonderland down under. Man, it is chilly-willy. Actually, it isn't that bad outside, but our house it pretty cold and drafty. It is ok when the heaters are on, but we don't have central heating, so there are always a few rooms or halls that are pretty frio during the day and night because we don't heat them. Sometimes I just want to sprint down the hall so that I won't feel an ounce of cold on my body. Brrrrrrr!!!!! Check out Josh taking a little nap in our guest room. Yes, it is really this cold here.
