Baby Taylor

We visited Pete and Heather today. It was nice to catch up with them for a bit and to meet their new addition, Taylor Rhodes Robinson. She is precious.

Yummy Juice

Josh bought me a juicer for Valentines Day and we have been putting it to good use. The boys love the fresh juice and it has been a great way to get more veggies into their diet. Juicing carrots, apples, pears, and celery seems to be a favorite in our home.

Crazy Dress Up Day

Today was crazy dress up day at Kindy. The kids, and teachers included, all wore crazy outfits (Isaac wanted to wear his pj's, so I went with it). Pip decorated the Kindy with random shoes, pictures that the kids drew of themselves (the teachers traced their bodies and heads), and other wacky items. Isaac especially enjoyed frosting his sugar cookie with black icing. Yum!

Isaac's drawing of himself has the shoe on top of it.

Saying Good bye to Rosie and Isaac

Rosie and Isaac Palmer stopped by for one last visit before moving to England. We will miss seeing the Palmer family around as I always enjoyed seeing Rosie at Kindy "drop off" each week and our kids enjoyed playing together too.

Isaac at 3 years, 10 months

Here are a few funny things that Isaac has said or done lately:
1. "Mommy, daddy's aren't pretty."
2. "I was so crazy tonight! I was getting exercise during Johana's visit."
3. Isaac still feels the need to announce every time he is heading to the bathroom to go tinkle or poo poo. He announces it, but doesn't want any help!
4. Isaac loves being comfortable. He prefers being in his pajamas in the morning for as long as possible, and he would wear his comfy shorts and a short sleeve t-shirt every day if he could.

Crafty Melting Moment

The boys and I broke up old crayons, and peeled off the outer paper, so that we could make large crayons in the oven. They looked a bit like Reeses Peanut butter cups, only they weren't edible. :)

Helicopter In Motion

On this particular morning the boys were enamored by a local helicopter that was transferring loads from one part of the Ngaio Gorge to another, and it all took place right in our back yard. The helicopter took 7 trips back and forth, carrying large branches, white parcels, and a few other unidentifiable loads. The boys loved every minute of it as they raced back and forth from our deck to the window, making sure not to miss one bit of the action!

Hammin' It Up For The Camera

Here are a few precious pictures of Hudson taken just after he woke up in the morning. He loves to bring all of his animals and blankets out into the living room. Can you tell that he is hamming it up for the camera. :)

Fearless

Isaac is fearless on his scooter. I really need to get him a helmet so that he doesn't hurt himself flying down the hill in front of our house. He starts at the top of the hill and he zooms by Hudson and I yelling, "Neeeeaaarrrr" or "This is Awesome!" or "Yeah, woohoo!" It amazes me how he has taught himself how to jump curves, lean into turns so that he doesn't crash, and use his feet/body to stear his scooter. I believe that Isaac has an innate ability to understand his body and how it works.

Finger Painting

I decided to try my hand at making homemade finger paint on this fine morning. Isaac loved getting his hands gooey, mushy, green and slimy. Hudson, on the other hand, was not as big of a fan of the finger painting as Isaac. In the end he enjoyed mixing the colors together with a spoon and dipping his spoon in the bucket of water, rather than getting his hands mucked up with the goo.

Family Day at the Park

We took the boys to Frank Kitts Park on this beautiful sunny Saturday in March. The boys loved the slides and climbing on the play sets.
