Hudson's First Birthday Party
Hudson's First Birthday landed on a Sunday this year, so we decided to have him dedicated at church on his special day. Our team came along to support Hudson and to pray for him, which was encouraging. We had a birthday cake for morning tea time, so that we could celebrate with our church family and then our team came over to our house for a BBQ. It was a great day and both Hudson and Isaac enjoyed the chocolate cake.

Catch!
Isaac is honing in on his catching skills...we can throw the ball from across the room and he will catch it. The reward is definitely the look on his face. :)

An attempt to video tape Hudson crawling
Hudson turned 1 on February 8th, 2009. One week later he started to crawl. Here is a video from the day Hudson started crawling...of course he wouldn't crawl every time the video camera came out to record. Stinker!
Isaac's First Day at Grace
On Wednesday, February 4th, Isaac attended his first morning of "play group" at our Church's kindergarten called, "Gracekindergarten". Isaac enjoys morning "play group" three times a week for a few hours in the morning and he loves every minute of it! There are about 20 others 2(1/2)to 3(1/2) years olds that he is blessed to play with.
Thankfully his teachers are really laid back and they welcome any moms that want to stay and watch their son or daughter play. I also have a morning help duty two times every term, which entails preparing the kids snacks and helping Isaac hand them out, plus cleaning and playing with the kids/Isaac. My morning duty time also allows for me to spend time watching Isaac interact with the other kids and have a glimpse into his world.
The kids paint, chalk, sing and dance, play outside on the new playground, ride bikes, play in the sand pit with cars and trucks, drench themselves with water play, dress up with all of the fun dress up clothes, read stories, gobble down snacks, and the list goes on. It has been evident to me that Isaac enjoys his time at Grace as every night when I ask him what he wants me to pray for him he says, "Pray that Isaac can go down to play group tomorrow." I am so thankful that he has been enjoying his time with the other kids and that he has made some new friends. Yeah!

Drenched by Two Scuddlers
Hudson and Isaac love splashing in the bath tub, especially Hudson. It is hard to control him because he thinks that drenching mommy and daddy is so much fun! If you look closely, you can see water dripping off of Josh's face in the first picture.

The Many Faces of Hudson
I snapped these pics of Hudson 6 days before his first birthday. Yes, I am about a month behind in my posting of pics, just to give you a reference for when these were taken.
