Definitely Boys

This slide from the Toy Library was a definite "hit" with the boys. Isaac has always enjoyed renting the slide, but it was a riot to see how much Hudson favored it as well. I think that the boys went down it over a 100 times throughout the course of their first day! Hudson is actually quite the little "dare devil". Not only does he adore throwing himself around in the bath tub, and attempting to stand up on an odd occasion, but he also takes pleasure in going down slides on his knees! As a mom, I was a tad bit concerned that he might well and truly injure himself, but after a while I could see that he had this new trick of his down. With his slick track pants on he was one fast little dude! And the "crash" at the bottom on the mattress was pretty hilarious as well.

Crash and Burn

Little Hudson Wudson took a fall at the park and cut his chin. He was walking across a small bridge and caught his shoe on something...boom...down he went. The cut on his chin was actually pretty small, but he kept pulling the bandaid off of it, so I ended up taking him in to see our neighborhood nurse. She bandaged him up nicely, as you can see by the photo. He tried all day to pick the bandage off, but his efforts were to no avail...it took three days until he finally managed to get it off! I went in to get him out of bed one morning and "wha-laa" it was gone.

Super-Hudson!

Who would have known...

Who would have known that Hudson would enjoy playing with this blue ball so much. He really gets a kick out of rolling around on balls that are just his size!

A Getaway!

In the end of August, Josh and I managed to get away for a wee overnight together. Our teammates, Kara and Susanne, blessed us by watching our kiddos! Yeah. We travelled about 20 minutes from home to a B&B out at Makara Beach. We really enjoyed our quality time together reading, lounging around, sitting in the sauna, feeding the pigs and sheep with our host Christine, and best of all...sleeping in! I actually stayed in bed so late that Christine wound up bringing our breakfast to our room and I ate half of it in bed. It was so awesome! Thank you Jesus for time away with Josh.

Puppet Shows

The boys love playing with daddy when he arrives home from work each night. Josh is such a creative dad- he does a stellar job finding fun things to do with our kids. On this particular night Josh entertained the boy with a silly puppet show; voices included and all.

Puzzles

Hudson is getting so much bigger! He is officially 18 months old now and we are really enjoying him. Hudson really enjoys puzzles. To keep him entertained I will place three or four puzzles around him and take out all of the pieces. In a short period of time he will go down the line of puzzles and complete each of them, clapping his hands after he inserts the pieces. I really enjoy watching him work his magic.

Bright-eyed and Bushy-tailed

I get a real kick out of saying silly things to Isaac in the morning when I go in to get him up. Well, a few mornings ago I said, "Good morning Isaac! Are you feeling bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?" He commented back, "I don't have a tail mommy because I am a little boy!"

Big Ole' Bumble Bee

Daddy caught a big ole' bumble bee in our house the other day and Isaac was pretty excited about it. Isaac is such a curious little boy and he really enjoys learning, so he was stoked to have a live bee to stare at and observe.
