Isaac's Run-In With Nurse Nelly
Well, on May 5th daddy took Isaac to the doctor to get his cast removed. One would think that Isaac would be smiling in the picture that we took of him after his cast was removed, but no smiles could be found. Poor little lamb...he had a rough time battling the nurse as she attempted to saw off his cast. Josh said that he was pretty riled up over the whole ordeal, so riled up that the nurse actually nicked his leg in two spots and she had to put some bandages on his leg to patch him up. The saws they use to cut off the casts are pretty safe because they work in response to pressure, which makes it nearly impossible to cut anything other than the cast. Leave it to Mr. Scuddles to find a way around that safety feature. After his cast was removed he was quite itchy for two days and he would not walk during those two days either. Then he moved to walking on his toes with a bent knee, just like he did when he had his cast on. He walked like this for 13 days. Just when I was about to wonder if he would ever walk normal again, he started to walk on his heal with a straight leg. Two days later he was walking almost normal...with his foot slightly turned out. As of today, he is doing well and definitely almost 100% recovered.
