My Cool Red Cast

Monday morning Josh took Isaac to get his permanent cast put on. His cast is red and it runs from the top of his leg all the way down to his little toes. The Dr. said that Isaac had the "friendliest" fracture that he could have on the top of his tibia. He will have to wear the cast for three weeks and then he has an 80% chance of having it removed if his fracture is healed up. Isaac has been a true champion through it all...very few tears and he has been such a sport. We have been coloring, drawing, watching Pooh videos, playing with our train set and cars, etc. I am amazed at how long Isaac can sit and focus on one thing. A friend lent us her sons train set and Isaac played with it all day! It was like Christmas here. Up until tonight he has been crawling all around the house, but tonight he actually stood up and started walking. The train set is on a table which forced Isaac to stand, which in turn led to him walking. Yeah! Thanks to everyone that sent Isaac little gifts. You guys are so great! Isaac's cousins, Peter and Cole, sent him their very own CU Buffs joursey to cheer him up. He has been wearing it today and it has warmed my heart and reminded me of home. Thanks guys!
