Staff Conferece- Jan 22-26th

Our Staff Conference this year was at the Willow Park Conference Center about an hour outside of Auckland. Thankfully we had some pretty sunny and enjoyable days during our 5 day stay, starting on January 22nd and ending on January 26th. Highlights: connecting with staff friends and moms, watching the boys run themselves ragged each day (so many fun things for them to do!), running in the mornings along the beach, learning from staff during their talks, and my favorite time was the active afternoon. The Wellington Team competed against the other campuses during an afternoon session of games and competitions. Our team dominated on the blow-up obstacle course. :) Josh and I got moving so fast climbing and moving through the blow-up obstacle course that all we can remember is throwing ourselves over the top of the mountain and hoping that we wouldn't kill ourselves on the way down. It was hilarious! It felt amazing to run and play with the rest of the staff. Our team won a few of the relay races, which was sweet, and we got ohhh sooo close to beating a very strong team in the tug of war. We thought that the tug of war was the best 1 of 1, so we gave it our all in the first round only to find out that it was really best of 3. We were so tired that our team collapsed after our final defeat. For a few days following my arms were incredibly sore! All in all we had an enjoyable time and we came back worn out from all of the activity.
