Akaroa is an old French Settlement located on a mountainous peninsula just outside of Christchurch. It takes about an hour and a half to drive from Christchurch to Akaroa. The drive is a bit windy and hilly, but the beauty of Akaroa makes it all worth while. We ate lunch, walked down to the Lighthouse, and played on the beach before heading home with two tired out kiddos. It was a lot of fun!
